Building and flying model aircraft has long been a passion of mine. From Free Flight to Control line, from Radio control to full scale restoration.
This page is dedicated to Scale Free Flight Models. I've included some pictures of my efforts along with some plans
and a few tips and tricks.
I hope you enjoy your visit and thanks for stopping by.
My Models
Sopwith Triplane - Built from Veron plans.
Markings are of Canadian WWI Ace, Raymond Collishaw. The Plane is 'Black Maria'
P-40 Warhawk - Built based on the guillows 500 series kit. Markings printed directly onto tissue.
Markings are of Squadron Leader Kenneth Boomer of RCAF 440 squadron, who shot down a Japanese "Rufe" over Kiska on September 25, 1942.
Miles M18 MKii - Peanut scale - Built from Walt Mooney plans.
Rondels on the wings are cut from Tissue while the Rondels on the fuselage were printed on my Epson C86 inkjet.
SE 5a - Peanut scale - Built from the old Sterling kit (#P1) that included it and the Fokker Dviii.
Pictured is the bare bones fuselage, wings are still on the building board. The model is being rebuilt, the original had a rough life and the only actual piece that exists from the original kit is the Emanage, Cowling & cylinder heads.
Fokker Dviii - Peanut Scale - Again built from the old Sterling kit (#P1). This is the actual model that I built in the early 80's. It has seen its share of crashes and rebuilds.
