Auto restoration

Follow the restoration of a
1926 Model T Ford Roaster.

Site Introduction:
This website is dedicated to all those wonderful cars that Henry Ford set loose on the world and the people
who drive them, restore them and love them.

Why this website?
As I started out on the restoration of my 1926 Model T, I found that there was lots of good information available
to the public but its scattered all over. As I started to gather the information into one place, I thought that it would
be great to make it available to others who may be doing just the same thing. My website is a work in progress
but hopefully as you look it over you'll find something of interest.

Thanks for looking
Rob

Wheel restoration:

After bringing my newly purchased roadster home I began cataloging what all I had and what I would need.
I did not really know too much about Model Ts at the time, not that I know a whole lot more now . :-)

After some research I realized that the frame and running gear were off of an earlier car, probably late
1919 as the wheels were 30 x 3 1/2 and the engine had no starter. I began searching for the correct year. What I finally found was fairly complete but minus the front right wheel and rims. It did at least have the correct engine even though that was minus a carburetor. After several failed attempts to locate the missing pieces at local swap meets and club activities,  I managed through the magic of E-Bay, to source a wheel and 5 rims. Now at least I would be able to roll my frame around. At least I would be able to after I restored
them.

Every Project has to have a starting point and mine begins with the wheels.
Wheel Condition as found.
